According to a report by West Ham United insiders Claret & Hugh, via West Ham News, manager David Moyes will be rewarded with a new two-year contract this summer – but Irons supporters aren’t impressed with GSB as they spot a questionable clause in this alleged offer.

Moyes has debatably done a brilliant job at the London Stadium this season as the Hammers stay within touching distance of a potential European qualifying spot – unprecedented at the start of 2020/2021.

As a result, GSB are reportedly set to offer the Scotsman a new two-year deal this summer – and Moyes will apparently have the option to extend his stay by another 12 months if West Ham finish just ’13th or above’ in his final year.

This latter extension option in the reported deal has prompted much backlash from Irons supporters, who have bashed their owners’ lack of ambition on social media in response.

One Hammers supporter even labelled it as ‘laughable’ – and you can see why given West Ham appear capable of a much higher league finish, as proven by this campaign.

Liverpool have been linked with a summer move for on-loan Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard, with the Reds keen on signing him.

The 22-year-old joined the Gunners on a temporary basis from Real Madrid in January, heading to the Emirates Stadium for the remainder of the season.

Odegaard has found an impressive level of form for Arsenal, scoring in their recent north London derby win over Tottenham and also netting once in the Europa League.

The Norwegian is not guaranteed to be moving to the Gunners permanently this summer, though, and a number of clubs are believed to be eyeing him up.

Reds keen on Odegaard move

According to the Daily Star, Liverpool are one of the teams keen on a move, with fellow ‘big six’ Premier League club Chelsea and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain also mentioned in the report.

Odegaard has been linked with the Reds in the past and it may be that Jurgen Klopp still sees him as an exciting option moving forward.

Transfer Tavern take

The Norwegian is a very talented footballer who could be worth taking a punt on, considering he is still just 22 years of age.

He hasn’t made the grade at Real Madrid, having arrived as a teenage wonderkid back in 2015, but he is showing at Arsenal what he is capable of producing when given ample scope to impress.

Sealing a permanent move elsewhere would allow Odegaard to settle and move on to the next chapter in his career, with Anfield an ideal place for him to go up another level, working alongside Klopp and some world-class players.

وأضاف: “تمنيت لو كان هناك قرارًا يمنح جزر القمر استدعاء حارس مرمى للمشاركة أمام الكاميرون”.

وأردف: “لو ضم جزر القمر 4 حراس مرمى كان من الممكن أن يتعرضوا جميعهم للإصابة أيضًا”.

تحدث طاهر أبو زيد نجم منتخب مصر الأسبق، عن فوز الفراعنة على كوت ديفوار، واقتناص بطاقة الصعود لدور الـ8 من بطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا الكاميرون 2021.

Liverpool could be set to make a move for one of Europe’s most promising teenagers this summer, with Ajax’s Ryan Gravenberch being linked with a move to Anfield.

According to The Daily Express, the Reds hold an interest in the 18-year-old and could look to sign him as a replacement for the potentially outgoing Georginio Wijnaldum, with the Dutch midfielder continuing to run his deal on Merseyside down and being linked with a move to Barcelona.

Away from being compatriots, there are many more reasons as to why Gravenberch could be his ready-made successor.

Since breaking through into the Ajax first-team last season, the youngster has gone on to make 51 appearances for the Dutch giants, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists.

It is no surprise then to know that Gravenberch is already a fully-fledged Dutch international having made three appearances for his national side, his debut only coming in March of 2021.

When comparing both Gravenberch and Wijanldum’s performances throughout the campaign, they are remarkably similar, with the youngster surprisingly edging ahead of his compatriot.

According to WhoScored, the Ajax midfielder has contributed 1.6 shots, 1.2 key passes and 1.6 dribbles per game in the Eredivisie this season. Meanwhile, Wijnaldum can only contribute 0.8, 0.6 and 0.9 respectively.

Gravenberch is also far more impressive from a defensive standpoint too. He contributes 1.2 tackles and 1.5 interceptions per 90 minutes for Ajax, whilst the current Reds’ midfielder only accumulates 0.7 for each in the Premier League.

Those box-to-box performances from the youngster have not only seen him compared to the current Reds’ midfielder but have also drawn comparisons to former Real Madrid star Zinedine Zidane from another legendary midfielder, Frank Rijkaard.

Rated at just £25.2m at the current time, that valuation is only sure to increase as Gravenberch realises his immense potential and promise.

FSG have to move now if they want to secure him as Wijnaldum’s Anfield replacement.

– Perdi duas chances claras contra o Figueirense. Só. Nos demais jogos tenho contribuído. Quem entende só um pouquinho de futebol sabe como é importante a posição de pivô, segurando os zagueiros. Isso não aparece tanto no jogo. No gol do Scarpa, por exemplo, os dois zagueiros puxaram pra cima de mim e acabou criando um espaço para quem vem de trás – comentou.

Manchester United staged a dramatic turnaround in North London on Sunday evening, coming from behind to beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1.

Heung-Min Son had given the hosts the lead but strikes from Fred, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood secured three points for the Red Devils.

Despite the dramatic comeback, it was still a tricky evening for a few of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s charges at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – none more so than Victor Lindelof.

The £21.6m-rated Swedish centre-back was the weak link in the Manchester United backline throughout the game as Spurs took control in the first-half.

According to WhoScored, he only contributed a single tackle in 90 minutes and also did not produce a single interception. For comparison, Lindelof’s centre-back partner Harry Maguire provided two tackles and four interceptions of his own throughout the game.

Meanwhile, the former Benfica man continued to struggle against Spurs by only producing two clearances.

His poor defensive work was compounded by an attempted horrendous clearance from Harry Kane’s pass into Lucas Moura, allowing the Brazilian to slide the ball across for Son to score the opening goal.

Whilst the goal did not mean a great deal at the end of the match, the way that Lindelof struggled to defend would have been a concern for Solskjaer.

The defender was also not too inspiring on the ball in terms of playing out from the back either. He racked up a middling 84.5% pass accuracy and could only pick out his teammates with just two of his six attempted long balls throughout the match.

So, despite United’s excellent showing in North London, having picked up a fantastic three points, Lindelof was certainly an outlier thanks to a difficult personal performance.

Solskjaer will certainly be expecting better against Granada in midweek.

O estilo polido e calmo não combina com o comandante alvinegro, que não descansa na área técnica até passar todas as instruções necessárias ao atletas do Botafogo.

Esse estilo intenso de comandar o time na beira do campo vem desde os seus trabalhos na base. Segundo Ventura, para otimizar os resultados, é necessário orientar e auxiliar os jogadores sempre que possível. Mas não existe uma receita. Cada técnico com a sua característica. Para provar sua tese, Jair cita o trabalho do multi-campeão Sir Alex Ferguson no Manchester United.

– Sou muito competitivo. Meus amigos e família sabem que eu não gosto de perder nem par ou ímpar. Gosto de ganhar tudo. Mas eu sei perder. Tivemos jogos ruins, que eu fui lá e cumprimentei o treinador. Sempre fui assim na beira do campo, desde o sub-20. Busco jogar com o time. É o meu jeito. O Ferguson ficava no banco o jogo todo no Manchester e ganhou tudo. Cada técnico com sua característica. Eu tenho a minha. Sempre gritando e buscando orientar.

Além de jogar junto com o time, Jair Ventura tem outra particularidade na beira do campo: as anotações em sua agenda. Elas servem para guardar observações e instruções para passar ao grupo. Lembra um pouco a prancheta do folclórico Joel Santana, que também já teve três passagens pelo Botafogo na carreira.

– Na verdade, eu anoto só no primeiro tempo. São algumas coisas que vamos anotando para não perder, para passar os atletas. Tem detalhe que perde, então anoto e falo com os atletas – conta o técnico de 37 anos do Botafogo.

Nos treinos, os métodos adotados pelo comandante também são elogiados pelos jogadores. Desde a simulação de situações do jogo até a postura tática e técnica da equipe em campo. O aspecto emocional é outro ponto positivo:

– Quando você escolhe a profissão, tem que ter responsabilidade. O Jair disse “Seja bem-vindo”, deu tranquilidade. É o mais importante. Foi uma conversa sadia, transparente, de olhar no olho e ter confiança. Ele me deu confiança já na primeira conversa no clube – destaca Alemão, o camisa 4 do Glorioso.

Esse estilo é uma mudança no comando do Botafogo em relação ao que acontecia no primeiro semestre. O estilo de Ricardo Gomes, que deixou General Severiano para ir para o São Paulo, era bem diferente. Gomes era reconhecido como alguém mais calmo e observador à beira do campo.

Um estilo mais calmo e moderado na beira do campo.

O oposto. Participativo, Jair Ventura busca chamar a atenção dos atletas e se movimenta muito na área técnica dos estádios. Enérgico, o comandante já destacou que seu estilo é mesmo de não ficar parado e chegou a lembrar de trabalhos anteriores. Como auxiliar de Ricardo, já era possível ver Jair Ventura conversando e passando instruções aos atletas do elenco do Botafogo.
